Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is - his good, pleasing and perfect will. ~ Romans 12:2 NIV

Aoife Fia is an Irish artist exploring the relationship between matter and spirit. Grounded in traditional plant-fibre papermaking and colouring with natural pigments, she creates archival biodegradable paintings, sculpture, book art, and installation.

Sensitivity to presence is central to the artist's meditations on embodiment, freedom, and joy. The limits set by using only body-friendly materials, pools intimacy and simplicity of form, while expressing life and hope.

Born in 1976 in Northern Ireland, she studied Fine Art for five years in England and Dublin and is now a homesteader on the West Coast of Ireland.
